Fatal Hidalgo County pedestrian crash death of Raul Palomin – Obituary

Raul Palomin, 49, of Edcouch, Texas, was killed Saturday evening after being struck by a vehicle on FM 1015 in southeast Hidalgo County. The crash occurred between East Mile 13 1/2 North and San Rafael Road, roughly 10 miles north of Weslaco.

According to authorities, Palomin ran into traffic and was hit by a northbound Chevrolet pickup. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The driver stayed at the location and is cooperating with law enforcement. The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
