Sabrina Michelle Duran, 55, of Santa Ana, California, died Friday evening after being struck by a vehicle while in her wheelchair on the 600 block of N. Grand Avenue. The collision occurred around 6:30 p.m., and emergency responders from the Santa Ana Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority arrived to find Duran with severe injuries.

She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities reported that Duran had been crossing Grand Avenue westbound when a northbound vehicle struck her. The driver initially fled the scene but later returned and is cooperating with investigators. The police have not confirmed whether any arrest has been made.
