Fatal Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario car crash deaths of Sultan Siddique, Shaikh Abdullah Faisal, and Moiz – Obituary

Sultan Siddique, 17, Shaikh Abdullah Faisal, 22, and their friend Moiz were killed in a tragic single-vehicle collision that ended in a fire early July 21 in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The crash took place near the intersection of Queenston Road and Concession 6 Road, where the car left the roadway, struck a tree, and came to rest in a ditch before becoming engulfed in flames. All three young men were trapped inside the vehicle and died at the scene before help could arrive.

Siddique, who was driving, lived in Niagara Falls while his family resides in Kuwait. Community members said the vehicle had been recently purchased for him by his father during a visit to Canada.

Faisal, a Brock University student, was also employed part-time at the Marotta Family Hospital in St. Catharines. He and Siddique were laid to rest following an Islamic funeral service, with burial at the Niagara Islamic Cemetery in Welland.

The third victim is believed to be Moiz, a Brock University student who had been living and working in Waterloo for the summer. His full identification has not yet been officially confirmed as authorities await DNA from family members overseas.

Leaders within Niagara’s Muslim community described all three as compassionate, generous young men who regularly volunteered and supported community events. Their deaths have deeply affected families across the region.

Niagara Regional Police have not released official details about the crash, citing privacy legislation, and have not publicly confirmed the identities. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision remains ongoing.
