Thomas Wainwright of Oklahoma dies in fatal Okmulgee County car crash

Fatal Okmulgee County car crash death of Thomas Wainwright of Oklahoma – Obituary

Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials confirmed that Thomas Wainwright, 83, was killed in a traffic collision in Okmulgee County near Conifer Road.

Troopers reported that Wainwright was driving along Conifer Road when he reached a stop sign but failed to come to a complete stop. Investigators said he continued into the intersection and entered the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75.

As Wainwright crossed into the highway, his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by another car traveling south. The impact caused fatal injuries, and Wainwright was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.

The other motorist involved was identified as 61-year-old Michael Nicholson of Texas. Authorities stated that Nicholson was not hurt in the collision.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol indicated the investigation remains active, and officials have notified Wainwright’s family members of his death.
