Abiel Alvarez-Illescas dies in fatal Durham, North Carolina stabbing

Fatal Durham, North Carolina stabbing death of Abiel Alvarez-Illescas – Obituary

Abiel Alvarez-Illescas, 38, of Hillsborough, was killed in a stabbing incident on Saturday night in Durham, authorities confirmed. The fatal attack occurred in the 300 block of Foushee Street around 8:30 p.m.

Durham police officers responding to the scene found Alvarez-Illescas with a stab wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

A suspect, 37-year-old Dexter Hart, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the stabbing and has been charged with felony murder. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.
