Arthur Broughton Jr., 39, of Huger, was found dead Wednesday morning inside a vehicle on Clements Ferry Road, authorities confirmed.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office was alerted at 7:48 a.m. about the discovery and pronounced Broughton dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation, and officials are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause and manner of death.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, together with the Charleston Police Department, is handling the ongoing investigation.
