Fatal Franklin County car crash death of Diane Louise Rowell – Obituary

Virginia State Police have confirmed that 69-year-old Diane Louise Rowell of Moneta was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Route 122 Monday evening.

The accident took place at 6:17 p.m., just north of Jubal Early Highway. Authorities report that Rowell’s 2018 Acura RDX struck the rear of a 1989 Mack truck while traveling south on Booker T. Washington Highway. Rowell, who was wearing a seatbelt, was rushed to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
