Fatal Lawrence apartment murder-suicide deaths of Edgar D. Torres and Euridiana Ramirez Sanz – Obituary

Edgar D. Torres, 32, and Euridiana Ramirez Sanz, 30, were found dead on January 3 in a Lawrence, Massachusetts apartment in what authorities have determined to be a murder-suicide. The Essex County District Attorney’s Office reported that Torres shot Ramirez Sanz at their home on 582 Essex Street before taking his own life. The couple had been in a long-term romantic relationship.

Lawrence police discovered their bodies shortly after 9 p.m. while conducting a well-being check at the apartment complex. Ramirez Sanz had been on a video call with her mother and her 11-year-old daughter and was reportedly preparing to leave Torres at the time of the shooting. Her mother, Marina Sanz, said they heard a gunshot outside the apartment and immediately called 911.

Authorities have released limited additional details as the investigation continues. Family and friends remember Ramirez Sanz as a devoted mother, while the tragic circumstances have left the community grappling with the sudden loss of both individuals.
