Fatal Lower Burrell crash death of Harry J. Thomas – Obituary

Harry J. Thomas, 62, of New Kensington, died Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle in Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County. The incident occurred in the early morning near the 600 block of Greensburg Road, where Thomas was hit while a vehicle was traveling westbound.

First responders pronounced Thomas dead at the scene. Authorities have identified the driver, who is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The Westmoreland County coroner has said the cause and manner of death are pending results from the autopsy and toxicology tests.

Police blocked off the intersection during the investigation, and a white Ford pickup with front-end damage was observed at the scene near Asphalt and Concrete Construction on Greensburg Road.
