Kevin W. Gooden, 41, of Campti, has died after suffering severe injuries in a pedestrian-vehicle collision that took place earlier this month. Authorities confirmed that Gooden passed away on the morning of Tuesday, January 13, while hospitalized in Shreveport.

The crash occurred on January 4 along Louisiana Highway 9 in Campti. Following the incident, Gooden was transported to a Shreveport hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries, according to the Natchitoches Parish Coroner.

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police were notified of Gooden’s death after the coroner’s confirmation. Troopers with Louisiana State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
