Mary Givens, a 77-year-old woman from Madison, tragically died Monday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Packers Avenue.

The incident occurred around 3:25 p.m. in the 3300 block of Packers Avenue, and Givens was taken to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Givens died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Additional testing was ongoing at the time of the report. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene, and Madison police are continuing their investigation.
