Fatal Chicago West Side death of Michael Richard Evans – Obituary

Michael Richard Evans, 39, was found dead early Friday morning in an alley on Chicago’s West Side. Authorities responded around 12:47 a.m. to the 3500 block of West Adams Street after a 911 call reported a man down and unresponsive in the alley between Adams Street and Jackson Boulevard in East Garfield Park.

Officers discovered Evans unresponsive at the scene, and paramedics pronounced him dead. At the time, he had no identification on him, and his identity was later confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. Evans had previously lived in Grayslake but was most recently residing in West Chicago.

Crime scene investigators secured the area as detectives from Area 4 continue their investigation. The medical examiner conducted an autopsy, but the cause and manner of death have not yet been released.
