Ricardo Garza Iruegas dies in fatal Webb County crash

Fatal Webb County crash death of Ricardo Garza Iruegas – Obituary

Ricardo Garza Iruegas, 71, of Nuevo Laredo, was killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision on State Highway 59 in Webb County, Texas. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported the crash occurred just before 5 p.m. near mile marker 812, roughly 12 miles east of Laredo.

Officials said a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado traveling west crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided with a 2014 Nissan Sentra. Garza Iruegas, who was driving the Sentra, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported, and DPS troopers continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
