Fatal Atascosa County motorcycle crash death of Robert Early James – Obituary

A 65-year-old motorcyclist from McAllen, Robert Early James, tragically died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in northeast Atascosa County. The accident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on the northbound side of I-37, near TX-97, approximately 36 miles south of San Antonio.

Authorities reported that James lost control of his motorcycle for reasons still under investigation, causing him to veer off the roadway and crash. Despite efforts to assist, he was declared dead at the scene.

No passengers were aboard his bike at the time of the collision. A full investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
