Meng Kue, a 34-year-old man, was killed in a hit-and-run collision at an intersection on Milwaukee’s northwest side, authorities confirmed. His identity was released following an investigation by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police said the deadly crash occurred on the night of January 15 near North 76th Street and West Glendale Avenue. Investigators determined that Kue was driving when another vehicle traveling north on North 76th Street struck his vehicle as he moved eastbound on West Glendale Avenue.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the collision, but Kue was pronounced dead at the location due to the severity of his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved did not stop and fled the scene, according to Milwaukee police.

Authorities said Bell Ambulance also acknowledged Kue’s death publicly after responding to the incident. The suspect vehicle and driver remain unidentified as the investigation continues.

Milwaukee police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about the fleeing driver to come forward. Tips can be provided directly to police or anonymously through local crime reporting services as officers work to bring closure to the case.
