Dr. Diane Rowell, an emergency room physician at Sovah Health in Martinsville, was killed Monday when her car collided with the rear of a Mack truck on Route 122 while she was on her way to work. Dr. Rowell’s daughter, Leah Franks, recounted the close bond they shared, including their joint opening of Bedford Urgent Care in 2005.
