Jennifer Stitt, a 50-year-old woman from Phoenix, Arizona, tragically died after being struck by a vehicle on the morning of January 15. Authorities confirmed her identity after the incident occurred just before 6 a.m. on Deer Valley Road near 26th Avenue, west of Interstate 17.

Police reported that the driver of the vehicle had stopped at a red light and began traveling west when the light changed. Stitt reportedly stepped out in front of the vehicle as it began moving. The driver immediately called 911 and stayed on the scene after the accident. Stitt was rushed to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Investigators confirmed that impairment was not a factor in the crash, and the driver remained cooperative throughout the investigation.
