Gavin Williams, a 37-year-old man from Hereford, was killed in a two-vehicle collision at a Cochise County intersection near Sierra Vista. Gavin Williams was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle was struck by a pickup truck last Thursday afternoon.

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash occurred around 1:12 p.m. on January 15 at the intersection of Moson Road and Hereford Road. Investigators said Williams was driving a 2011 Toyota Scion eastbound on Hereford Road when he attempted to make a left turn onto Moson Road.

During the turn, the Toyota was hit on the passenger side by a westbound 2007 Dodge 3500 Dually. Authorities stated the driver of the Dodge was unable to avoid the collision.

The Dodge driver was transported to Canyon Vista Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Sheriff’s officials confirmed that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is still ongoing.
