A 75-year-old woman and her dog were killed Saturday evening in a hit-and-run collision in Voorhees Township, New Jersey. The victim, identified as Andrea Wilson, a longtime special education teacher, was struck while walking with her dog Ozzie near the intersection of Evesham Road and Alpha Avenue around 6:00 p.m.

Emergency responders found Ozzie dead at the scene and transported Wilson to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver initially fled the scene but later returned in a different vehicle. Authorities identified the suspect as a 34-year-old woman from Cherry Hill, who has been charged with second-degree leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident and is currently suspended from her position as a juvenile detention officer.

Wilson’s family, friends, and neighbors have paid tribute to her at the crash site, leaving flowers and memorial items. Officials continue to investigate the incident, reviewing evidence and witness statements as the case progresses.
