Gwinnett County police reported that Diego Romero Gonzalez was shot during a domestic-related incident at a residence on Patterson Circle near Lawrenceville. Gonzalez was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was last reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities identified Valentine Gonzalez Reyes as the suspect at the scene. Reyes was arrested without incident and faces charges including aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police stated that the incident appears to be isolated and domestic in nature, with no ongoing threat to the public and no other suspects at large.
