Fatal Warren County, Ohio car crash death of Micaela Pedicone – Obituary

Micaela Pedicone, 28, lost her life Monday afternoon following a violent two-vehicle collision on Interstate 71 in Warren County, Ohio. The crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. in Union Township and resulted in the closure of the northbound lanes as emergency crews responded to the scene.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Pedicone was driving a Chevrolet Malibu southbound when her vehicle crossed the center median for reasons still under investigation. The car entered the northbound side of the interstate and struck a Honda Odyssey head-on.

The Honda was being driven by 49-year-old Darnell McKinney Jr., who was also killed in the impact. Authorities confirmed that both Pedicone and McKinney were alone in their vehicles at the time of the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries.

Pedicone was an educator at South Lebanon Elementary School within the Kings Local School District. School officials released a statement expressing deep sorrow over her sudden passing, describing her as a dedicated teacher who was cherished by students and staff alike and known for her compassion and commitment to the school community.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
