Fatal Palm Springs car crash death of Ricardo Marano – Obituary

Ricardo Marano, a 56-year-old Palm Springs resident, was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run collision, authorities confirmed. Ricardo Marano was found critically injured on a roadway in Palm Springs after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. near the 1000 block of East Vista Chino. Officers responding to the call discovered Marano lying in the eastbound lane of traffic. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

As the investigation progressed, detectives identified a vehicle believed to be connected to the crash. Police said a black 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was seized on Tuesday after investigators executed a search warrant at a location in Thousand Palms.

No arrests have been announced, and authorities have not released the identity of the vehicle’s owner. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine who was driving at the time of the collision.
