Fatal Pittsburgh shooting death of Timothy Moran – Obituary
Timothy Moran, a 62-year-old Pittsburgh resident, was identified as the man who lost his life during a violent incident Tuesday night in the city’s Bloomfield neighborhood. Timothy Moran was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency crews responded to reports of an unresponsive man inside a residence.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, police were dispatched around 8:25 p.m. to a home along the 200 block of South Aiken Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Moran suffering from severe injuries to his head and face, with visible bleeding. Despite efforts at the scene, he was declared deceased.
Investigators conducted a protective sweep of the residence to determine whether anyone else had been harmed or if a suspect was present. No additional victims were located during the search.
As of the latest update, authorities have not confirmed whether any arrests have been made. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released an official cause of death.
The incident remains under active investigation as detectives work to determine the circumstances that led to Timothy Moran’s death.
