Axis, Alabama Man Johnny Fabbo Rosario Identified After Fatal Workplace Accident in Mobile County

MOBILE COUNTY, ALA. — Johnny Fabbo Rosario, a 38-year-old man, was identified by authorities after he died in an accident at a steel mill in Axis on Tuesday.

According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Rosario was working as a contractor at the SSAB steel mill on January 20 when he fell from the roof of one of the facility’s large industrial buildings. Officials said he had been replacing metal roof panels at the time of the incident.

Rosario suffered a fatal head injury and was pronounced dead following the fall. Authorities stated the death is being ruled accidental, and no criminal charges are associated with the incident.
