Fatal Arizona Interstate 19 car crash death of Ricardo Uriel Rivera – Obituary

Ricardo Uriel Rivera, a 29-year-old resident of Rio Rico, was identified by the Arizona Department of Public Safety as the person who lost his life in a crash that occurred on January 16 along Interstate 19, just south of Duval Mine Road.

Authorities reported that Rivera was driving a Ford passenger vehicle in the left lane when the car drifted into the median. The vehicle then swerved back toward the roadway, broke through a section of fencing, and ultimately came to a stop on the east-side frontage road near Camino de Diana, south of Duval Mine Road.

Investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash as part of the ongoing traffic investigation.
