Charles Ortega dies in fatal Texas, Grimes County car crash

Fatal Texas, Grimes County car crash death of Charles Ortega – Obituary

Charles Ortega, 45, of Grimes County, Texas, was among three people who lost their lives in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon. Ortega was driving a Hyundai Santa Cruz southbound on State Highway 6 near the Grimes-Waller County line when a northbound 2020 Freightliner crossed the median and struck his vehicle.

Two passengers in the Hyundai, 46-year-old Travis Morehead and 21-year-old Ryan Morehead, also died in the crash. The semi-truck driver and passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
