Shawna Collins, a Houston-based event planner, was among six people who perished when a private jet crashed at Bangor International Airport on Sunday night. Her family confirmed her death, along with that of Jacob Hosmer, the pilot, following the tragic accident.

The victims’ identities have not yet been officially released by federal or state authorities. The aircraft involved was a Bombardier Challenger 600, which went down during takeoff amid a snowstorm that reduced visibility across the area. The jet was registered to a Houston corporation sharing an address with the law firm Arnold & Itkin Trial Lawyers, with one of the firm’s founding partners listed as the registered agent.

Investigators have not determined the exact cause of the crash, and the National Transportation Safety Board continues its examination. Aviation experts have suggested that snow and icy conditions may have contributed, though other planes were reportedly taking off and landing at the airport at the same time.
