Dana Kinlaw, 40, of South Carolina, was killed after being shot and set on fire in a vehicle following a meeting to purchase a puppy, authorities said.

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office reported that Kinlaw was found inside the burning car around 5:45 p.m. Deputies arrested 19-year-old Iryanna Fleming of Pamplico and 31-year-old Daquinn Thomas, charging them with murder, first-degree arson, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Investigators believe the attack was carried out in retaliation for a previous murder in the state. The case remains under investigation.
