Authorities have identified the man killed in a Wednesday morning shooting on Harmon Highway as 44-year-old Davelle M. Wilder. Wilder was transported to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria unresponsive and was pronounced dead at 3:36 a.m.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood confirmed that Wilder suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died instantly. The incident also left a woman injured; she was found with a gunshot wound to her leg and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after deputies applied a tourniquet.

Deputies from the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office responded around 3:06 a.m. to a residence in the 3400 block of Harmon Highway. Officials said the suspects likely fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, and no arrests have been made. Investigators continue to treat the shooting as an isolated incident while the case remains under active investigation.
