Fatal Alcorn County house fire death of Nina Doran – Obituary
Nina Doran, 85, of the Glen community in Alcorn County, died Monday morning in a house fire on County Road 251.
Authorities report that Doran had lit a fire in a wood stove to stay warm, but the flames accidentally spread, engulfing the home. Firefighters responded quickly, but Doran did not survive.
She was remembered by her family and neighbors as a kind and caring woman who worked at a local Dollar General store. Officials continue to investigate the circumstances of the fire.
