In Linthicum, Maryland, 37-year-old Joseph Keith Aman of Baltimore was tragically killed in a shooting at the Northrop Grumman facility on January 28, 2026. The shooting occurred after a dispute between two security guards at the site, located near BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Authorities say 26-year-old Dylan Blake Chandler of Pasadena, Maryland, was the suspect in the deadly altercation. During the incident, Chandler fired his weapon, fatally striking Aman. A third contracted security guard intervened, disarming Chandler and taking him into custody. Chandler has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, as well as additional charges.

Anne Arundel County Police have stated that this was an isolated incident involving only security staff and that Northrop Grumman employees were not involved. The investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
