Alexander E. Sanchez-Montilla, 41, was killed after being shot during a Facebook Marketplace vehicle transaction at his Antioch home. The shooting happened Thursday evening on Winton Drive while Sanchez-Montilla was meeting with someone about purchasing a car listed online.

According to Metro Nashville Police, Sanchez-Montilla was shot in both legs inside his garage and ran outside after the gunfire. He was airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, where he died Friday morning from his injuries. Investigators stated that Sanchez-Montilla was the intended target in the shooting.

Police later clarified that Jonathan Gonzalez, initially named as a suspect, has been cleared after authorities confirmed he had an alibi and was not involved. Detectives said incorrect information at the scene led to the initial misidentification.
