Fatal Kansas City shooting death of Eboni Silas and Tishauna Ballard – Obituary

Authorities in Kansas City have confirmed that two women, Eboni Silas, 29, and Tishauna Ballard, 23, were killed during an early-morning shooting inside a bar on Southwest Boulevard near 28th Street. Police responded shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of gunfire at the location.

 

Officers arriving at the scene found three women suffering from gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead on site, while the other two were transported to a nearby hospital. Ballard later succumbed to her injuries, bringing the total fatalities to two. An adult man was also wounded and sought treatment at a hospital separately.

 

Investigators spent Sunday interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence from inside the bar. Authorities believe the shooting originated within the premises. Police have not made any arrests and are urging anyone who was present and has not yet spoken with investigators to contact the TIPS Hotline anonymously.

 

The two surviving victims remain hospitalized, and authorities report no changes in their condition. The investigation into the deadly shooting continues as the community mourns the loss of Silas and Ballard.

Following the issuance of a public alert and coordination between multiple law enforcement agencies, Fosnaugh was eventually located in Ohio and taken into custody without resistance. The sheriff’s office extended condolences to the families and friends of both victims, asking the community to remember them during this difficult period as the case proceeds through the legal system.
