Fatal Chilliwack, British Columbia shooting death of Kristopher Benson – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed that 48-year-old Kristopher Benson of Chilliwack was the victim of a shooting that occurred on Sunday morning. Another man was also injured in the incident and remains hospitalized in stable condition.

The shooting took place at a residence on Mellard Avenue, where police were called around 8:40 a.m. PT. Officers from the Upper Fraser Valley regional detachment responded, and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) later assumed control of the investigation.

Investigators have described the attack as targeted and isolated, though the motive remains unclear. Police are continuing their inquiries and have urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact IHIT.
