A tragic fire in Old Town, Florida claimed the lives of Charles “Jelly Roll” Pinner Jr., his wife Lori, and their four young children Tuesday morning. The Dixie County Sheriff’s Office reported that first responders arrived just before 7 a.m. after receiving calls about a house engulfed in flames. While officials initially withheld the identities of those who died, family members confirmed that all six residents perished.

The children, aged 11, 7, 3, and less than one year old, were named Colton, Valkryie, Neveah, and Steven. Charles Pinner’s sister, Bri Pinner, described being alerted by a cousin who banged on her door around 6:45 a.m., prompting her to witness the devastating fire.

Investigators are still working to determine the exact cause, with unconfirmed reports suggesting the fire may have started in the kitchen. Friends and relatives are remembering Charles as a devoted father and family man who loved outdoor activities and cherished his children above all else.

Community members quickly rallied to support the grieving family. Charles’s aunt, Nikie Waits, recalled the overwhelming turnout of neighbors and friends at the scene. Businesses, churches, and local residents have launched fundraisers to help with funeral and related expenses, providing a small measure of comfort to the Pinner family amid this immense tragedy.
