Fatal Lauderhill hit-and-run crash death of Erik Zepeda Villalobos – Obituary

Erik Zepeda Villalobos, 34, lost his life after being struck in a hit-and-run collision while riding his motorcycle in Lauderhill last week, according to authorities.

Officers with the Lauderhill Police Department said the deadly incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. Friday along the 3900 block of West Sunrise Boulevard. When emergency crews arrived, they found the motorcycle severely damaged and Villalobos fatally injured at the scene.

Investigators later determined that the vehicle involved was a gray Tesla Model Y. Police located the suspected vehicle within the city after the driver had fled the scene without stopping.

No suspects have been taken into custody as detectives continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have information to come forward as the investigation remains ongoing.
