Fatal Burpengary Bruce Highway crash death of Andre Roberts – Obituary

Andre Roberts, 26, lost his life Tuesday night in a head-on collision on the Bruce Highway at Burpengary, north of Brisbane. Police reported that Roberts was driving his Honda Accord home around 10:30 p.m. when a white Isuzu truck traveling south in the northbound lanes struck his vehicle.

The Honda, which had been traveling in the correct direction, caught fire immediately after the impact, and Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene.

Friends and family mourned the young man’s sudden death. His friend, Lochlen Burns, described the devastating impact on Roberts’ family, especially his sister, and set up a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral expenses during the difficult time.

Queensland police have located a vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash, and investigators are examining whether the truck had been pursued by other vehicles prior to the collision. The truck driver remains hospitalized and in critical condition as authorities continue their investigation into the fatal incident.
