Authorities reported that Boaz Flemister, 17, and Lazarus Gonzales, 25, lost their lives in a devastating early morning rollover accident on a freeway in Chicago.

The two were traveling with fellow members of the Empiire Dance Institution when the crash occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on the Bishop Ford Freeway at the northbound Interstate 94 ramp near 111th Street. The group had been heading home after finishing a dance practice.

Officials said the vehicle overturned during the incident, resulting in fatal injuries to Flemister and Gonzales. Three others inside the vehicle were also hurt. Two victims required hospitalization, including an adult woman listed in critical condition, while another individual suffered broken legs. A third passenger received minor injuries and was later released.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and the Illinois State Police confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.
