Taylor Wahnschaffe dies in fatal Cass County car crash

Fatal Cass County, Minnesota car crash death of Taylor Wahnschaffe – Obituary

Authorities say a 19-year-old woman from Richmond lost her life Tuesday night after a collision involving two vehicles at an intersection in Cass County. The Minnesota State Patrol confirmed Taylor Wahnschaffe was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved.

Investigators reported that an SUV driven by Travis Grossman, age 40, of Pillager, was traveling east and attempting to turn left when it collided with an oncoming westbound vehicle.

Wahnschaffe was riding in the westbound vehicle at the time of the crash and died as a result of her injuries. The driver of that vehicle, a 21-year-old man from Browerville, survived and was transported to a hospital in Brainerd with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Grossman and two children who were passengers in his SUV were not injured in the collision, according to officials.
