Gage Gersema, 33, of Mount Pleasant, was killed Sunday morning during a violent shooting in Marshalltown, Iowa. Authorities identified him after responding to reports of gunfire on the 100 block of North 11th Avenue around 4:15 a.m.

According to police, two people were found at the scene with gunshot injuries, and two additional victims later arrived at a local hospital. Officials have not released details about the other victims.

Investigators say 29-year-old Allen Hart, also from Mount Pleasant, fired multiple rounds into the residence before fleeing on foot. Gersema succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Hart has been charged with intimidation using a dangerous weapon and two counts of reckless use of a firearm. Law enforcement continues to investigate the incident, and Marshall County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to further arrests connected to the shooting.
