Fatal Carrington, North Dakota T-bone crash death of Gary Boyer – Obituary
Authorities have identified the driver who died in a two-vehicle collision on North Dakota Highway 200 as 80-year-old Gary Boyer of Carrington.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that Boyer was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 southbound on 74th Avenue Northeast, approximately six miles east of Carrington, when he attempted to cross Highway 200. At the same time, 31-year-old Cornelius Augustyn of Washburn was traveling eastbound in a 2006 Peterbilt semi-trailer with a trailer.
The Ford was struck on the passenger side by the semi-trailer in the intersection. Boyer, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Augustyn, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries and was taken to CHI St. Alexius for treatment.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
