Fatal Billings train accident death of Christopher Tenderholt – Obituary
Christopher Tenderholt, 53, of Billings, lost his life in a train-related accident on Saturday, February 28, 2026. The incident took place along Laurel Road around 3 p.m., when Tenderholt was struck by a train.
According to Yellowstone County Coroner Rich Hoffman, Tenderholt died from multiple blunt force injuries, though the official determination of manner of death is still pending.
Billings police are actively investigating the incident and have stated that they do not believe Tenderholt’s death was a result of suicide.
