Authorities have identified a woman who lost her life in a three-vehicle accident in Wall, New Jersey, last week.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the victim as 58-year-old Eileen Ziesmer of Brick. Ziesmer was a longtime and valued member of the Church of St. Denis in Manasquan, where officials described her as dedicated, kind, and devoted to her parish community.
Police reported that the crash occurred around 5:20 p.m. on March 5 at the intersection of Route 70 and Morningstar Road during the evening commute. Ziesmer was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated by first responders. She was transported to a medical facility, where she was pronounced dead roughly an hour later.
Two other motorists were involved in the collision. A 51-year-old woman from Brick suffered injuries to her face, head, and wrist, while a 22-year-old woman from Manasquan was also part of the crash. Both survived.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
