Fatal Turlock car crash death of Jose Blancas – Obituary
Authorities say a 67-year-old man died following a two-vehicle collision in Turlock, California, on Friday afternoon.
The Turlock Police Department reported that the crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. on the 1300 block of South Washington Road near West Linwood Avenue. Officers and Turlock Fire Department personnel arrived to find two vehicles with severe damage at the scene.
Jose Blancas of Turlock was trapped in one of the vehicles. Firefighters extricated him and attempted medical aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital, while the passengers in that vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
Police have not released details regarding what caused the crash or whether alcohol or drugs were involved. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the collision to contact the Turlock Police Department.
