Authorities say a woman from Arizona lost her life and two teenagers were hurt after a serious crash in Catron County, New Mexico.
The Catron County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash happened Sunday along U.S. Highway 180 between the communities of Reserve and Glenwood. Sheriff Keith Hughes said the vehicle was traveling south when it left the roadway and plunged down an embankment.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver, Sandra Dixon of Safford, Arizona, dead at the location of the crash.
Two teenage passengers who were in the vehicle were seriously injured and transported by air ambulance to UMC Hospital in El Paso for medical treatment. Officials have not released details regarding their current conditions.
