Fatal Brookfield Township, Ohio motorcycle crash death of David Rice – Obituary
Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a collision Sunday evening on Route 82 in Brookfield Township. The victim, 62-year-old David Rice of Sharpsville, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding struck a vehicle attempting to turn onto Addison Avenue.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Rice was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide with 18-year-old Angeleena Medovich as a passenger when an 87-year-old driver, Elspeth McKeag, attempted a left turn from Route 82 onto Addison Avenue. The motorcycle collided with the right side of McKeag’s 2009 Nissan Murano.
Rice was pronounced dead at the scene. Medovich was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Neither Rice nor Medovich was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. McKeag was also taken to a hospital for evaluation but was released shortly afterward.
