Elijah Cobb dies in fatal Colorado Springs crash
Fatal Colorado Springs crash death of Elijah Cobb – Obituary
Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision on the north side of Colorado Springs in late February.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the victim was 28-year-old Elijah Cobb. The crash occurred on Feb. 24 at the intersection of Union Boulevard and Woodland Hills Drive.
According to Colorado Springs police, Cobb was riding his motorcycle northbound on Union Boulevard when a box van traveling in the opposite direction turned left into the motorcycle’s path. The two vehicles collided, and Cobb was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators reported that impairment does not appear to have played a role in the incident. However, officers are still examining whether speed may have been a contributing factor.
Officials said Cobb’s death marks the sixth traffic-related fatality recorded in Colorado Springs in 2026. During the same period in the previous year, the city had reported only one traffic death.
