Fatal Porter Ranch car crash death of Ernesto Ramos – Obituary
Ernesto Ramos, 23, of Northridge, lost his life in a car accident in Porter Ranch over the weekend, leaving two others injured.
The crash occurred Sunday night around 10 p.m. on Tampa Avenue, south of Tunney Street, when Ramos was driving a 2015 Acura at high speed. According to Los Angeles Police Department investigators, he lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road, and struck a traffic light as well as private property.
The collision’s impact fatally injured one passenger and caused moderate injuries to another. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced Ramos dead at the scene.
Ramos himself suffered severe injuries and was hospitalized, remaining under police custody. He faces potential charges, including driving under the influence, once released from medical care.
