Fatal Macon County tractor-trailer crash death of Daniel Arnold – Obituary
Daniel Arnold, 42, lost his life Monday night when his tractor-trailer overturned on the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near the Riverside Drive exit in Macon, Georgia.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred just before 8 p.m. Investigators say Arnold appeared to lose control of the truck, which then struck an embankment and flipped. Deputies discovered him deceased inside the vehicle.
The Macon-Bibb County Coroner, Leon Jones, confirmed Arnold’s identity and stated that the family has been notified. One lane of southbound I-75 remains open, and traffic delays were reported, with an expected clearing time around 11 p.m. The crash is still under investigation, and authorities ask anyone with information to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and request a fatality investigator.
