Fatal Caseyville pedestrian accident death of Shannon Duff – Obituary
Shannon Duff, 44, of Caseyville, was killed while walking her dog along Illinois 159 on Saturday evening, March 7, 2026. The collision occurred near Hollywood Heights Road around 8:57 p.m., and Duff was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Illinois State Police, a northbound passenger vehicle struck Duff and her dog. The driver of the car sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital, while the dog was transported to an emergency veterinary clinic.
Troopers closed the northbound lanes of Illinois 159 until about 1 a.m. to conduct their investigation. Authorities have not yet released the condition of the driver or the dog.
